Dr. Kimberly Fitzgerald González is a licensed clinical psychologist practicing in Florida and California.
She completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at Universidad Carlos Albizu in San Juan, Puerto Rico — APA-accredited, magna cum laude — with training weighted toward the neurobiological correlates of behavior and the interaction between genetic predisposition and life context.
She trained across the institutions of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the Municipality of San Juan: maximum security with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, infectious disease with the Department of Health, addiction and domestic violence treatment, and the public school system. Her postdoctoral work took her to California — behavioral medicine and clinical neuroscience in San Diego, then violence risk assessment, personality and neurocognitive assessment, acute psychiatric care, and wellness with the California Department of Corrections.
Her private practice currently centers on clinical psycho-diagnostic evaluation, psychotherapy, and psychological and forensic assessment. Her research has been published internationally.
Her patients/clients have ranged from truck drivers to jet pilots, gang leaders, high-performance athletes, families managing generational wealth, people experiencing homelessness, to the person just wanting to feel good on a Tuesday.
